Calvin Harris, 42, returned to Hampden Park on Saturday, August 1, playing to a crowd of 50,000 at his first show at the venue since 2022. The DJ is due to perform there again on Sunday, August 2.
During the homecoming gig, a steward was captured on camera enthusiastically jumping up and down at the back of the stadium with two fans. The moment quickly spread online.
Steward Dances to 'We Found Love'
The clip, shared on TikTok, has been viewed more than 67,000 times. In it, the steward dances to Harris and Rihanna's 2011 track "We Found Love", throwing his arms about in vertical motions while other stewards stand completely still further down the stairs.
The video was captioned: "No Scottish stewards, no party!"
'Give That Man a Raise'
Viewers were quick to praise the dancing steward in the comments. One wrote: "Scottish stewarding done right. Give that man a raise!" Another said: "Good on him! How hard would it to be not dance."
Others added: "Brilliant. This is what life is all about" and "I was down the front and they were the same. Guys made our night." Further comments included "Yes was great to see Glasgow the way it should be" and "Free concert. Enjoy work."
Tribute to Avicii
Harris closed the show with a tribute to his late friend and Swedish DJ Avicii, playing his hit track "Levels". Avicii, born Tim Bergling, died in 2018 after taking his own life. Harris has frequently honoured his friend during major global sets.
