This Morning began its Friday broadcast with an unusual guest: a robot named Harold. The robot stood in the usual presenting spot and announced, 'Hello everyone and welcome to Friday's This Morning. I am Harold the robot and I am delighted to be in the studio with Alison and Dermot today.'
Harold then performed a dance routine before regular hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary entered. Dermot joked, 'Oh no! It's only a question of time until we are replaced.' He added, 'Harold you are too good, it's freaking me out.'
Dermot crouched next to Harold, noting the robot was roughly his height. Alison admitted she was about to do the same. Dermot put his arm around Harold and quipped, 'When they take over, they are going to remember that.' The pair then joined Harold in a dance.
Viewer reactions were mixed. Some found it 'freaky' and joked about robots taking over, while others admired Harold's dance moves. One viewer said, 'That dancing robot is almost *too* good,' and another teased, 'Harold can dance much better than Dermot.'
