South Yorkshire rock band The Sherlocks have been forced to postpone a series of shows after lead singer Kiaran Crook fell unwell. The band, known for four Top Ten albums since 2019, announced the decision on Instagram, stating that Crook is recovering and needs time to ensure his voice is back to full strength before performing.
The quartet wrote: "Important – we're gutted to say this weekend's shows are also postponed. Kiaran's still recovering and wants to make sure his voice is back to 100% before getting back on stage." They added that it has been a "tough few days" and thanked fans for their support, promising updates and looking forward to resuming the tour next week.
Fans flooded social media with supportive messages, with one urging the band to prioritise recovery and another asking about rescheduling dates, including a cancelled Chester show. Previously, the band had cancelled concerts in Wolverhampton and Chester on 1st and 2nd November due to illness affecting the camp.
The Everything Must Make Sense Tour, which began on 10th October at Manchester's Albert Hall, is set to conclude on 20th December at Welly in Hull. The band's latest album of the same name, released in February, became their fifth Top 20 record. Kiaran had earlier described the tour as a "throwback" and a chance to connect with fans up close.
