Taylor Swift has returned to the top of the UK singles chart, landing her sixth number one with Opalite, according to the Official Charts Company. The track, from her latest album The Life Of A Showgirl, previously peaked at number two last October.
The US singer's return to the summit follows the release of a star-studded music video for the song, featuring celebrities including Cillian Murphy, Lewis Capaldi, Graham Norton, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith. Swift wrote and directed the nearly six-minute video, which she said was inspired by appearing on The Graham Norton Show with them last year.
Opalite snagging the top spot marks the first time one of Swift's albums has produced two UK number one singles, the Official Charts Company said. She previously topped the chart with Look What You Made Me Do, Anti-Hero, Is It Over Now (Taylor's Version) and Fortnight featuring Post Malone.
Elsewhere in the singles chart, Dave/Tems' Raindance sits at number two, followed by Raye's Where Is My Husband! at three. Bad Bunny's DTMF is at four, with Sam Fender and Olivia Dean's Rein Me In rounding off the top five.
In the albums chart, Olivia Dean remains at number one for a second consecutive week with The Art Of Loving, the longest-running number one album by a British female this decade. Bad Bunny's Debi Tirar Mas Fotos is at two, with J Cole's The Fall Off at three, Fleetwood Mac's 50 Years – Don't Stop at four, and The Weeknd's The Highlights at five.
