Taylor Swift Launches Eras Tour with Three-Hour, 44-Song Set

Taylor Swift has kicked off her Eras tour in Arizona with a three-hour, 15-minute show featuring 44 songs from across her career. The tour marks her return to live performance after five years, during which she released four albums, including the Grammy-winning Folklore.

The opening night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale drew around 80,000 fans, with the tour having already broken the record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day at 2.4 million. The set was divided into sections for each of her 10 albums, tracing her evolution from country star to pop icon to folk singer.

Highlights included the full 10-minute version of 'All Too Well', performed in a red overcoat with falling snow, and a Fosse-inspired chair routine for 'Vigilante'. The production featured 16 dancers, multiple costume changes, and an illuminated catwalk leading to a second stage. Swift told the crowd, 'I don't know how to process all of this and how it's making me feel right now. Let me start by saying you're making me feel fantastic.'

Early reviews have been enthusiastic, with The Times declaring 'the queen of pop reclaims her throne' and praising the cohesive experience despite shifting between 10 distinct albums. Billboard called the achievement 'often staggering', while Hello magazine noted fans would be 'Enchanted'. The only criticism was that Swift's third album Speak Now was represented by just one song, 'Enchanted'.
