Take That's surprise appearance at Hits Radio Live in Manchester sold out within minutes of the band confirming their involvement on Monday morning. The gig takes place at Co-op Live on Saturday, November 21, and now the only way to secure a spot is to win tickets from the radio station.
Gary Barlow confirmed the news on the Hits Radio breakfast show with hosts Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr, following the full artist announcement for this year's Hits Radio Live. Joining Take That on the line-up are Jason Derulo, Paloma Faith, James Blunt, Blue, Tom Grennan, Katy B and boyband December 10.
Barlow hails Manchester 'the capital'
Speaking about the announcement, Gary Barlow hailed Manchester "the capital" as he said how much he and bandmates Howard Donald and Mark Owen were looking forward to the gig. He told the Hits Radio Breakfast Show: "We're so excited to be playing Hits Radio Live. It's going to be a hell of a night in Manchester - the capital!"
"The audience there are always so loud and they really know how to have a good time. We can't wait it's going to be terrific." Fleur, Will and James also confirmed that tickets have officially sold out for the gig.
Only way to attend is to win
Hits Radio says music fans should stay tuned in the weeks ahead to see how they can win their place at the gig. The concert itself will be hosted by Hits Radio star DJs - Fleur East, Gemma Atkinson and Marvin Humes.
The Co-op Live gig comes fresh from Take That's triumphant return to home turf in Manchester in the summer, when they played five huge gigs at the Etihad Stadium on their rebooted Circus Live tour. Since then, they also stunned fans by announcing they will head back out on tour in 2027 fresh from the launch of their new album Dreamers.
Dreamers 2027 tour dates
Dates so far have been across Europe, with only Irish gigs currently announced on the upcoming Dreamers 2027 tour. Fans have been eagerly awaiting more gig news from the band, particularly after Gary had teased there were some "big announcements" to come before Christmas from him and the band.
It marks the band's biggest European run "in years" with 31 shows in 31 cities across 16 countries. Tantalisingly for fans across the world, they also stated in the announcement that "more shows to be announced in the coming weeks". The only UK and Ireland dates currently confirmed on the 2027 tour schedule will be in Belfast at the Belsonic festival in Ormeau Park on June 30, and in Limerick on July 3 at Thomond Park stadium.
