Scottish singer Susan Boyle has left fans stunned with a glamorous makeover, debuting a chic blonde bob and dark sunglasses as she teases a 'new era' in her music career. The 65-year-old, who rose to fame on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, shared a series of photos on social media showing her in a recording studio and walking down the street in a long fuzzy coat.
Alongside the images, Boyle wrote: 'A new era starts tomorrow.' The following day, she posted a picture with 'Just One' on the back of her tracksuit, captioning it: 'I’ve heard it’s Susan Boyling out there… and it’s about to get hotter. Just One is out soon.' Fans compared her style to fashion icon Anna Wintour, with one commenting: 'the bob that broke the internet.'
Boyle's return to music comes after she suffered a mini stroke in 2022, which left her fearing she might never sing again. Speaking to STV's What's on Scotland, she said: 'It's taken me three years and it's been hard - I'm not going to pretend otherwise but it's made me determined to keep going.'
Boyle first shot to fame after finishing second on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, selling over 25 million albums worldwide. Her last major album, 'Ten', was released in 2019. She recently moved back into her childhood home in Blackburn, West Lothian, after finding her larger property did not feel like home.
While no confirmed release date has been announced for 'Just One', fans are eagerly awaiting the new music. Celebrities including Katie Perry and RuPaul's Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz have expressed their excitement, with Baga writing: 'The queen of music is back!'
