Billie Eilish, Cillian Murphy, Steve Coogan, and Joaquin Phoenix are among the stars who have shared a new video message for Together For Palestine, ahead of a major benefit concert in London tonight (September 17). Organised by Brian Eno, the event takes place at the OVO Arena Wembley and is being live-streamed online.

The one-minute video features appearances from Murphy, Phoenix, Sharon Horgan, Steve Coogan, Annie Mac, Peter Gabriel, and others. Eilish and her brother Finneas say they are “together for Palestine,” while Brian Cox states: “We have to tell the truth on behalf of the people of Palestine.” Coogan urges viewers to “call for a ceasefire, stop the killing.”

The concert, the UK’s largest benefit for Gaza, will raise funds for Palestinian-led organisations including Taawon, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and Palestine Medical Relief Service. Performers include Damon Albarn, Bastille, Cat Burns, Greentea Peng, Hot Chip, James Blake, Jamie xx, Celeste, Leigh-Anne, PinkPantheress, Rina Sawayama, Riz Ahmed, Elyanna, Saint Levant, and El Far3i.

Additional acts recently announced include Paul Weller, Florence Pugh, Eric Cantona, and Neneh Cherry. Eno explained his motivation: “I’ve had the good fortune to work with some of the world’s most remarkable artists for over 50 years. But one of my biggest regrets is that during that time so many of us have remained silent about Palestine.”

Merchandise is available via the Together For Palestine online shop. Separately, Paul Weller has curated a ‘Gig For Gaza’ at London’s Troxy on October 17, featuring Primal Scream, Inhaler, and Maverick Sabre.
