Sam Fender Fans Slam 'Complete Joke' as Gigantic Website Crashes During Pre-Sale
Sam Fender Fans Slam 'Complete Joke' as Gigantic Crashes

Sam Fender fans were left frustrated this morning as the Gigantic ticket platform crashed during the pre-sale for his St James' Park shows in June 2027, with many unable to secure tickets.

The singer is set to return to St James' Park next summer with a new album, and the pre-sale went live today. While other dates on the tour are selling through Ticketmaster, the St James' Park dates are being sold exclusively via Gigantic, a decision that appears to have backfired for local fans.

Fans Report 'Bad Gateway' Errors

Many fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their frustration. The main issue of the morning was the Gigantic website going down. When many tried to access the site to buy pre-sale tickets, they were met with a "bad gateway" error, stating there was an issue with the host site.

Some fans also complained of missing pre-sale codes, meaning that despite pre-ordering the album in the set time frame, they had not received a code. Others suggested checking spam folders and promotion sections in emails just in case.

Fan Reactions Online

One user said: "When you think you've seen all the horrors that a ticket sale can be and here comes the sam fender presale." Another user replied: "A complete joke, I want a refund on the CD if I don’t end up with tickets."

Another user complained: "Trying to get Sam Fender tickets and the website selling them has gone down on release, most likely due to traffic. How is it 2026 and these ticket websites can’t handle traffic? It’s literally got one job!"

One user tagged the company: "@Gigantic your website has blown up, looks like Sam Fender at SJP isn’t happening today…"

General Sale on Friday

Some users confirmed they were able to get tickets, but many may have already missed out. There is always another chance at the general sale on Friday.

Ticket prices for the shows are now £55, £75 and £95, with standing tickets priced at £85. The general sale of tickets will start at 9.30am on Friday, October 30.
