Queen Camilla demonstrated her pint-pulling skills during a visit to The Parson’s Nose pub in Hillsborough, County Down on Wednesday. Fiercely concentrating on the task, she successfully poured a pint of Guinness, holding it up triumphantly for the cameras.
Wearing a navy blue feather dress by Fiona Clare, a coat by the Fold, and a turquoise and diamond three-leaf clover brooch, the Queen met local residents and business owners. She visited three local businesses: The Parson’s Nose, grocer ER Wilson, and Arthur’s Café.
After pouring the pint, she received a round of applause from staff. “It’s a bit early to drink. I’ll leave it here until later,” she joked. An aide jokingly asked for pork scratchings, but the Queen appeared nervous during the process, carefully filling the glass.
The Queen is visiting Hillsborough alone, while King Charles visited Newcastle, County Down. Outside, children from a local primary school sang A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. “Really lovely, thank you very much,” she said before shaking hands with gathered residents.
