Kelly Osbourne has shared a deeply emotional letter to her mother Sharon Osbourne on what would have been her parents' 46th wedding anniversary. The tribute comes just months after the death of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July last year at the age of 76 from a reported heart attack.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Kelly included photographs of a bouquet of flowers and screenshots of the letter addressed to her 'dearest mummy'. She wrote: 'Today feels different. A day that was once filled with celebration now carries a quiet ache. This is your first wedding anniversary without Daddy by your side.'
The letter reflects on the enduring nature of love beyond death, stating: 'Love like yours doesn’t end when a life does. It changes shape. It becomes the warmth of the sun on your face when you need comfort... Daddy may no longer walk beside you, but he will never stop walking with you.'
Kelly also highlighted her mother's resilience, noting that Sharon has learned to 'carry both grief and hope in the same heart' with 'extraordinary grace'. She assured her mother that the family will support her through every milestone, and that Ozzy's legacy is 'the love he gave, the family he helped create, and the remarkable woman he adored'.
The tribute concluded with a message of enduring love: 'Happy Anniversary to a love story that even heaven could never end.' Ozzy's death occurred just over two weeks after his final farewell concert, 'Back To The Beginning', where he reunited with his bandmates.
