Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that Ozzfest will go ahead next year, with the festival set to return on July 10, 2027. The event, described as "an important part of Ozzy's legacy," will move to a new location due to "continuing construction."
Rather than take place at Villa Park, the Black Sabbath frontman's beloved venue, the festival has been relocated to The National Bowl in Milton Keynes. Sharon explained the decision, saying: "Unfortunately, due to continuing construction, Villa Park won’t be ready for any live shows this summer, so we had to relocate to Milton Keynes. The choice was to move Ozzfest or postpone it for another year."
Legacy and anniversary
The announcement comes as Ozzfest marks the 30th anniversary of its first edition in 1996. It will be the first festival since the passing of Ozzy Osbourne, known as the Prince of Darkness, and follows his historic farewell concert Back to the Beginning in 2025.
Sharon said: "Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival, and Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy."
Return to the National Bowl
The event previously took place at The National Bowl in 1998 and 2001, including the first ever UK edition. Andy Copping commented: "It was a huge honour to work with Sharon on Back to the Beginning, so I’m thrilled to be working with her again on Ozzfest and bringing it back to the UK, back to the National Bowl where it all got started. We’re so excited about the lineup we’re putting together, and can’t wait to share it with the fans."
Fans have reacted with excitement, though some are eager to learn who will perform. One follower commented on Sharon's Instagram post: "@yungblud in UK please." Another guessed: "Kid Rock, Disturbed, Ted Nugent..." A third asked: "Are we getting bands before tickets go on sale?!" On X, a user said: "God bless Ozzy Osbourne."
US and Mexico dates
Alongside the UK event, Ozzfest is also returning to the US on Saturday, September 11, 2027, at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA, where the festival launched in 1996. It will be followed by the first edition in Mexico City, MX, on Saturday, September 18, 2027, at Estadio GNP Seguros.
