Jack White paid tribute to his former bandmate and ex-wife Meg White during The White Stripes' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Friday night (November 8) in Los Angeles. Meg, who did not attend the ceremony, helped Jack write his speech, he said. "She's very grateful to all the folks who supported her through all the years. It really means a lot to her."

Iggy Pop introduced the duo, imitating the 'Seven Nation Army' riff and praising Meg's contribution to their sound. Jack read a story about the band that he had intended to send to Meg, describing a childhood memory of building a parade float and performing for strangers. He encouraged young musicians to "drop the screens and get out of your little room and get obsessed."

Olivia Rodrigo and Feist performed an acoustic duet of 'We're Going To Be Friends', while Twenty One Pilots covered 'The Hardest Button to Button'. The ceremony also inducted OutKast, Soundgarden, Cyndi Lauper, Chubby Checker, Bad Company, and Joe Cocker.
