Madonna made sure to get stuck in with her own promotion as she headed to Shoreditch with her team to put up posters to promote her new single this week. The Like A Prayer hitmaker, 67, wrapped up in a black padded winter coat as she took to London at night ahead of the release of her new album Confessions II.
New Album Release
Her eagerly anticipated new album is set for release on July 3 and is the continuation of the iconic counterpart Confessions on a Dance Floor. Armed with her broom and poster paint, the singer and her team toured around the city putting up posters before Madonna took to Instagram with a video, asking fans: 'Did you find yours?'
World Cup Halftime Show
Her latest post comes after it was revealed Madonna, Shakira and K-pop band BTS will headline the first-ever World Cup final halftime show this summer. The lineup was announced on Wednesday night, less than a month before the soccer showpiece kicks off in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
Madonna and Shakira have both previously performed at Super Bowls but this will be the first time that the World Cup final has included a halftime show. The announcement was made in a viral video that featured Coldplay star Martin as well as characters such as Elmo, Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog and Animal. 'This show is more about we than me,' Martin said in the clip. 'It's about togetherness.'
Collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter
In the run-up to the release of Madonna's latest album, the singer teamed up for the collaborative song titled Bring Your Love with none other than Sabrina Carpenter. Madonna and Sabrina, 26, teased the song during the Please Please Please singer's weekend two set at Coachella, where Madonna appeared as a guest. The duo performed 1990s hit Vogue before premiering a segment of new song Bring Your Love, and closing with a duet of Like A Prayer.
Together, the duo were heard singing together on the house track: 'Bring your love 'cause you cannot shake me, bring your love 'cause you'll never break me, bring your love 'cause you cannot take me down.' Since Bring Your Love's release, fans have flooded social media to react to the new track, praising it as 'perfect' and joking 'my ears have been blessed'.
One fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter: 'My ears have been blessed,' as another chimed in: 'New Madonna and Sabrina actually slaps!' A third person penned: 'It's just perfect,' as a fourth added: 'This is a bop. Deserves to go number 1 everywhere.' 'We're witnessing the resurgence of POP music. This is how classic pop songs are made. The lyrics, the harmonies, the chorus.. perfection,' a fifth said on YouTube. While a sixth agreed: 'Ok, this is her best collaboration ever,' another fan concluded: 'Song of the incoming summer!'
However, not every listener was a fan, and some were quick to offer up their criticisms with the track, with one writing: 'Madonna really saw Sabrina taking the pop crown and said let me hop on this to stay relevant...' Someone else suggested: 'Madonna's new song with Sabrina is really bad, but it might be a hit,' as a third concluded: 'Madonna and Sabrina collab is TIREDDD.'
