Lewis Capaldi at Wythenshawe Park: Full List of Road Closures
Lewis Capaldi Wythenshawe Park: Road Closures in Full

Lewis Capaldi will make his Wythenshawe Park debut this weekend, headlining the venue to more than 30,000 people on Saturday evening as part of the Live From Wythenshawe Park concert series.

The series also includes a Friday night show from The Cure, followed by Lewis on Saturday. Extended over two weekends for the first time, the August Bank Holiday will see performances from Pulp, Courteeners and The Prodigy.

Return to the Stage

The event series kicked off in 2023 with a show from Noel Gallagher. Lewis was originally meant to play that year but cancelled this and other shows as he took a break to focus on his physical and mental health. Since then, the venue has hosted New Order, Blossoms, Fontaines D.C. and Sam Fender.

Following a two-year break, Lewis returned to the stage in 2025 with a sold-out UK arena tour, and confirmed a number of outdoor dates for 2026, including shows in Dublin, Limerick, Exeter, Cardiff, Leeds and London.

Support Acts and Setlist

This week he plays Belfast on Thursday before heading to Wythenshawe Park on Saturday night (August 22). Fans can expect songs from his back catalogue, including tracks from his latest record, 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent'.

The first support act will be Quiet Man, nominated for BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2025 and known for stripped-back, soulful indie-folk tracks. Following him, Loyle Carner will take to the stage. The hip-hop musician, writer and actor is known for his confessional, jazz-inflected rap style and hits including Ottolenghi, Loose Ends and Damselfly.

Travel and Road Closures

Organisers are encouraging fans to walk or cycle where possible. The hard-standing car park will remain available for general park users, and a separate dedicated car park for concert attendees will be open on show days, with limited spaces and booking advised.

Road closures will be in effect for shows on 21, 22, 28, 29 and 30 August. The following closures will be in place on each event day: Rackhouse Road (entire length) from 11am to 2am; Wythenshawe Road from its junction with Sale Road to its junction with Northolt Road from 9.30pm to 2am; Moor Road from its junction with Wythenshawe Road to its junction with Altrincham Road from 9.30pm to 2am; Palatine Road from its junction with Wythenshawe Road to its junction with Longley Lane from 9.30pm to 2am; and Greenpark Road from its junction with Palatine Road to its junction with Homewood Road from 9.30pm to 2am.
