Katie Price has announced a surprising career move as the search for her missing husband, Lee Andrews, continues into its ninth day. The former glamour model, who turned 48 today, revealed on her show that she is returning to her pop music career.
Background of the Disappearance
Katie married Dubai businessman Lee Andrews in January, just two weeks after meeting him. Since then, Lee has faced accusations of being a conman, but Katie continued to visit him. They were scheduled to make their first joint TV appearance on Good Morning Britain last Thursday, but Lee failed to board his flight. Katie appeared alone and has not heard from him since. He has been reported missing, and the former I'm A Celebrity star remains unaware of his whereabouts.
Music Career Revival
During Friday's episode of The Katie Price Show, Katie shared her plans to revisit singing. She said: "I'm in the studio tomorrow, recording a new original track, not a cover. So I'm excited! I think it's… not that I sound like her… it's very like Rihanna-y!"
This is not Katie's first foray into music. In 2005, under her pseudonym Jordan, she was runner-up in the UK Eurovision selection. In 2006, she collaborated with then-husband Peter Andre on the album A Whole New World. Her single Free To Love Again peaked at #60 in 2010, and I Got U received mixed reviews in 2017. However, the latter enjoyed a resurgence on TikTok, hitting #1 on the iTunes chart. In 2019, Hurricane cracked the Top 20.
Katie topped the charts in August 2025, with her representative stating: "Katie can't believe the amount of support she's had from the public! This shows what women supporting women can achieve and the power of social media." A source added: "This is a massive surprise for Katie, she's always loved singing and this is a dream come true!"
Her most recent releases include Best Of Me and the festive song This Christmas in late 2025. In 2024, she performed a surprise set at Mighty Hoopla in London.
