Julie Goodwin, the 54-year-old winner of the inaugural MasterChef Australia in 2009, has caused a stir with her latest appearance. A promotional photo for her return to MasterChef Australia: Back to Win shows her sporting a khaki wrap dress that highlights her toned arms and figure, prompting an outpouring of praise from fans.
Fans flooded the comments section with compliments, with one writing, 'How's the guns on Julie!!' and another adding, 'Julie's bangin biceps!' Others referred to her as 'gorgeous' and noted 'arm goals'. The chef will return to the show on Sunday, having made multiple appearances since her initial victory.
Goodwin addressed her dramatic weight loss in a previous social media post, shutting down concern. 'I am well, and I am within the healthy weight range. My doctor concurs,' she wrote. She also advised that she is not qualified to give weight loss advice, urging people to consult health professionals.
In an interview, she reflected on the changes since her first MasterChef stint, noting she was in her 30s then and is now in her 50s, a grandmother with adult sons. She also opened up about her past weight loss experience on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here in 2015, calling it unhealthy and not recommended.
Goodwin emphasised she is now in a healthier place, appreciating her body for what it has given her, including three sons. She called for an end to judging people's appearances, saying, 'People can be large and healthy at the same time – one doesn't preclude the other.'
