Journey, the iconic rock band behind hits like 'Don't Stop Believin'', have announced their split after 50 years together, confirming a farewell tour for 2026. The 'Final Frontier Tour' will kick off on 28 February in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and conclude on 2 July in Laredo, Texas, covering 60 cities across North America and Canada.
Founding member and guitarist Neal Schon, 71, said in a statement: 'This tour is our heartfelt thank you to the fans who've been with us every step of the way... We're pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production.' He added that while this marks a farewell to one chapter, he is not done making music.
The current lineup includes vocalist Arnel Pineda, drummer Deen Castronovo, bassist Todd Jensen, and keyboardists Jonathan Cain and Jason Derlatka. Journey have sold over 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Former singer Steve Perry is reportedly not involved in the tour.
Keyboardist Jonathan Cain, who joined in 1980, described his time with the band as 'an incredible ride' and said the tour is about 'gratitude, connection and one last chance to feel that magic together.'
In 2024, Journey abruptly cancelled their entire UK and Ireland tour, citing 'circumstances beyond the band's control.' Reports later emerged of a lawsuit filed by Cain against Schon over alleged excessive spending on tour expenses, including accommodation and flights.
