Jessie J says 'whole world has changed' following breast cancer diagnosis

Jessie J has spoken emotionally about how her life has been transformed since being diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. The 37-year-old singer addressed the Music Industry Trust Awards in London on Monday, reflecting on the impact of her diagnosis.

In a heartfelt speech, the star said: 'This year has changed my whole world. My perspective, what battles I'm going to pick, when death comes knocking at your door, and you kind of have to answer and kick it away, it just changes everything.'

The Price Tag hitmaker revealed last week that she was left frustrated after a second breast surgery was postponed, despite having cancelled her US tour for the procedure. She had undergone a mastectomy in June following her initial diagnosis.

Jessie J returned to the stage just weeks after her first operation to perform at BBC Radio 2 In The Park in Essex in September. She told the audience at the time: 'I had breast cancer surgery 11 weeks ago today... I'm just so grateful to be here.'
