Influencer Jaclyn Hill Details Filler Migration Following Significant Weight Loss

Beauty and makeup influencer Jaclyn Hill has publicly disclosed that she is undergoing a procedure to dissolve dermal fillers in her face after they migrated over time, resulting in an unwanted bulge near her chin. The 35-year-old content creator documented this process in a TikTok video on Sunday, as she prepared for an ultrasound examination of her facial area.

Suspicions Confirmed by Medical Professional

During the video, Hill expressed her conviction that filler had migrated from where her smile lines were treated years ago, pointing to a specific area above her jawline. She attributed this migration to weight loss she experienced over an extended period. Her suspicions were validated by her doctor during the ultrasound appointment, providing her with a sense of relief and confirmation.

"I knew this was filler migration. I'm not crazy," Hill stated during the medical consultation. She added, while the filler was being dissolved, "I’m so happy right now." Following the procedure, she examined her reflection and remarked that her face appeared significantly improved, appreciating her natural look without the migrated filler.

The Impact of Weight Loss on Facial Fillers

In the caption accompanying her video, Hill elaborated that she never had filler injected directly into the affected area, but it had migrated there over the years, creating a noticeable bulge. She noted that this became apparent after her weight loss, describing it as a frustrating development. Hill reflected on this as a consequence of following beauty trends from 2016, which often involved extensive facial filling.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, hyaluronic acid injectables represent the most prevalent type of dermal filler in the United States. These are typically dissolved using hyaluronidase, an enzyme designed to break down hyaluronic acid in the body. The Cleveland Clinic explains that dermal fillers aim to plump wrinkles, smooth lines, and restore facial volume, with over three million people opting for these treatments annually in the U.S.

Hill's Weight Loss Journey and GLP-1 Medication

In addition to discussing filler migration, Hill has been open about her weight loss journey. In May 2025, she shared a YouTube video detailing her use of GLP-1 medication, commonly utilized by individuals with diabetes to regulate blood sugar, reduce appetite, and slow digestion. Hill recounted her struggles with various diets and exercise regimens, including heavy lifting and walking 10,000 steps daily, which yielded minimal results.

"I’ve bawled my eyes out so many times, because I cannot lose weight," she admitted. After three weeks on the GLP-1 medication, Hill reported losing 10 pounds, and by three months, she had lost a total of 20 pounds, highlighting a significant transformation in her health and appearance.
