Jack Osbourne has launched a blistering attack on Roger Waters after the Pink Floyd musician made disparaging comments about his late father, Ozzy Osbourne. In a series of Instagram Stories, the reality TV star branded Waters a 'c***' and accused him of being 'pathetic and out of touch'.
Waters, 81, had criticised Ozzy during an appearance on The Independent Ink podcast last month, saying he 'didn't care for' the rocker's music or public antics. Referring to Ozzy's recent death, Waters said: 'We'll never know, we didn't, you know? Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense.'
The Pink Floyd co-founder also dismissed Black Sabbath, stating: 'I don't care about Black Sabbath, I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads off chickens or whatever they do.' When the interviewer clarified that Ozzy had bitten the head off a bat, Waters exclaimed: 'That's even worse!'
Jack, 39, responded on Tuesday (2 September) by writing: 'Hey @rogerwaters f*** you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bulls*** in the press. My father always thought you were a c*** – thanks for proving him right.' He added a second Story with the hashtag 'F***rogerwaters'.
The Independent has contacted Waters' representative for comment. Ozzy Osbourne died on 22 July at the age of 76. His children have been vocal in defending his legacy, with Kelly Osbourne recently calling WWE star Becky Lynch a 'disrespectful dirtbag' after she insulted Birmingham during a WWE show.
