Former Hollyoaks star Twinnie Lee-Moore has opened up about a heartbreaking split from her boyfriend, just as she celebrates a major milestone in her music career. The actress and country music star revealed she had been left devastated after the couple called time on their relationship, admitting that the demands of her career had made things incredibly difficult.

Emotional TikTok revelation

Twinnie, who played Porsche McQueen in Hollyoaks, shared an emotional TikTok with fans shortly after the split, admitting she had spent the night crying. ‘I’m sorry if I look like s***, I’ve been crying all night because my boyfriend split up with me last night,’ she said.

The star explained that her career as a musician means she is regularly travelling between countries, making a long-distance relationship increasingly challenging. ‘He’s not a bad guy,’ she explained. ‘I’m a music artist; we’re always away from each other, we found the distance incredibly hard, and it’s making him unhappy, and I don’t want to make him unhappy.’

Chart success despite heartbreak

It was clearly an emotional moment for Twinnie, but there was also a huge positive waiting for her when she woke up. Despite having barely slept, the actress discovered that her latest single, Wild One, had climbed to number four on the iTunes Country chart. ‘I did wake up this morning after having no sleep, to find out my single is number four,’ she told fans. ‘It’s in the charts… which is awesome.’

The achievement left her visibly emotional, and she encouraged her followers to support the song in the hope of pushing it even higher. ‘If you want to help me run it up the charts, maybe we can get top three,’ she added. She also reassured fans that, despite the heartbreak, she wasn’t planning on staying down for long. ‘I’m ok just kind of sad but I promise we are not going to be going back into heartbreak era!! We’re gonna keep on dancing!!’ she wrote.

Fan support and career journey

Her followers were quick to rally around her, with one offering a particularly hopeful message: ‘Might be the right person; it could just be the wrong time’ Another fan wrote: ‘Sorry that life makes us choose between dreams, the ride of life is a wild one.’

Twinnie has come a long way since making her Hollyoaks debut back in 2014. She joined the Channel 4 soap as Porsche McQueen, the eldest daughter of Reenie McQueen and half-sister of Celine and Cleo McQueen. Her character was married to Lockie Campbell, with the pair’s relationship eventually ending in tragedy. Porsche was also at the centre of some of Hollyoaks’ toughest storylines, including a powerful plot in which she revealed that her stepfather Pete had sexually abused her when she was just 15.

Twinnie’s portrayal of the character earned her a British Soap Award nomination for Best Newcomer, as well as an Inside Soap Award nomination in 2015. Since leaving the soap, she has successfully forged a career in country music, particularly across the UK and America. Now, with Wild One sitting at number four and her music career continuing to go from strength to strength, Twinnie certainly seems to be proving that determination pays off.

And while her relationship may have come to an end, there’s no sign of the former Hollyoaks star slowing down anytime soon.
