Heidi Klum and her son Henry turned heads with their matching plunging outfits at the amfAR Gala during the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. The 52-year-old supermodel displayed remarkable cleavage in a black-and-white corset ballgown with laces down the front, but was nearly outshone by her handsome 20-year-old son, who went shirtless in a black suit adorned with gold and silver embellishments.
A Family Affair at the Star-Studded Event
Klum, accompanied by her husband Tom Kaulitz, 36, proudly showed off Henry throughout the evening. The mother-son duo also appeared on stage to support The Foundation for AIDS Research, which funds HIV/AIDS research and prevention programs worldwide. The gala featured dinner, performances by Robbie Williams, Zara Larsson, and Lizzo, as well as the annual auction.
Henry's Growing Modeling Career
Henry, Klum's eldest son with ex-husband Seal, 63, has been accompanying his mother to many events lately. Known for his towering height, he has followed Klum into modeling, appearing in campaigns and runway shows for brands such as YSL, GCDS, Kith, Beauty, and Lena Erziak.
Klum explained to People that she brought Henry because her husband has been traveling frequently. 'So Henry has been like, "I'll come with you, mom." And I'm like, "This is fabulous." I mean, what better date can you have than your own son?'
The former America's Got Talent judge said it is 'fun' to experience these events through the eyes of someone young. 'Obviously, things are super exciting for me too, but it's different with a 20-year-old when they see things and do things for the first time, like a big red carpet. He's always super appreciative that I take him.'
She added: 'But to be honest, I'm more appreciative that he comes with me, that he's proud to be on my side. And we have a fun night together. We love people watching, we gossip a little bit. It's a real fun night with my son.'
Klum and Seal, married for seven years before their 2012 split, also have sons Johan, 19, and daughter Lou, 16. The singer also adopted Klum's daughter Leni, 21, whose biological father is Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. Klum met Tokio Hotel musician Kaulitz at a mutual friend's party in 2018, and they married the following year.
