Gordon Ramsay has spoken out about the ongoing tensions in the Beckham family, offering support to his long-time friends David and Victoria Beckham. The celebrity chef, who has been close to the couple for over 20 years, made the comments during an appearance on Good Day New York on May 12.
Ramsay addressed the reported rift between the Beckhams and their eldest son, Brooklyn, saying: 'As you know, in this ever-changing moment in their lives, kids need help, we're there for all of them – that's most important.' He also praised David Beckham, calling him a 'mate' for two and a half decades and noting that their children grew up together.
The feud has been widely reported, with Brooklyn allegedly becoming distant from his parents and criticising the family's focus on 'Brand Beckham'. Reports also claimed he blocked some family members on social media, though he has remained in contact with Ramsay and his grandparents.
Earlier this year, Ramsay described the situation as 'very difficult' and revealed he had been messaging Brooklyn, saying their relationship is 'solid'. He added: 'I love him – his heart is incredible.' Victoria Beckham also addressed the tensions in a rare public comment, telling The Wall Street Journal: 'We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be.'
