Ed Sheeran paused his concert in Munich on Monday night to help a fan propose to his girlfriend. The singer stopped during his performance of 'Perfect' and asked the audience to be quiet because a man had a special question to ask.
Matthew Reed, a 34-year-old care worker from Bedford, then proposed to his girlfriend Rebecca, whom he had been with for four years. She quickly said yes, prompting a round of applause from the crowd before Sheeran resumed the song.
Despite facilitating the romantic moment, Sheeran has remained tight-lipped about his own marriage to Cherry Seaborn. He has previously hinted that they tied the knot in August by showing his wedding ring during an interview.
'It's not my life anymore, it's hers,' Sheeran told Heart radio, explaining his reluctance to discuss the relationship. 'If she wants to talk about it she can talk about it but I kind of respect her privacy.'
