Canadian rapper Drake has abruptly rescheduled his Manchester concert scheduled for Monday night at the Co-Op Arena, citing unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics. The announcement was made on Sunday, leaving many fans disappointed and unable to attend the new date.
The concert, part of Drake's $ome $pecial $hows 4 U tour with fellow Canadian singer PartyNextDoor, has been moved to Tuesday, August 5th. All original tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date, but some fans have taken to social media to express frustration and attempt to sell their tickets.
One fan wrote on Instagram: “I’m so sad came way from New York to see the boy.” Another vented on X: “so far drake cancelled/rescheduled 3 shows: manchester, belgium and zurich. who the f**k plans his tour dates and why is it that everytime he goes to europe he either cancels the dates or reschedules!!!”
The tour, produced by Live Nation and with Ticketmaster handling sales, marks Drake's first return to Europe and the UK in six years. The duo have already performed two shows in Manchester and several in London before heading to Amsterdam, with plans to return to Manchester in early August.
Despite the disruption, the tour continues across Europe through late September, with stops in Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, and more. The rescheduled Manchester date is set to be an unforgettable night, according to the official notice.
