Candlelight: Disney Love Songs coming to Manchester with £22 tickets

Disney fans can catch Candlelight: Disney Love Songs, an orchestral concert celebrating some of the franchise's most beloved love songs, at Manchester Cathedral this autumn. Some tickets for the two dates have already sold out, so anyone hoping to go should act quickly.

The show takes place on Friday, September 25, with performances at 6pm and 8.30pm, and on Wednesday, November 11, with performances at 7.30pm and 9.30pm. The setlist draws on songs from major Disney films including Frozen, The Lion King, Hercules, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story 2, Tangled, Aladdin and more.

The concert is performed by a string quartet, with the cathedral venue setting a relaxing mood through a large number of lit candles. Tickets are available through Fever, with pricing varying by date and seating zone.

For those after something different, The Rocky Horror Show is running at the Palace Theatre until Saturday, August 1, with tickets from £26. A separate Queen by Candlelight tribute tour from ATG Tickets is also available from £32, taking place in Woking and Wimbledon throughout the autumn period.

Candlelight Concerts has received a wave of positive reviews on Trustpilot. One visitor wrote: "We attended the Candlelight Concert of the Fountain City String Quartet playing a selection of Coldplay and Imagine Dragons at the Unity Temple on the Plaza. I never imagined a string quartet playing Coldplay and Imagine Dragons, but here they were. The concert was absolutely amazing! The venue was wonderful and helped to highlight the performance."

Another added: "This was amazing. The performance was incredible, they nailed each artist spot on. Every employee of the venue was so kind and professional." A further review said: "Great atmosphere and superb performances, we will be booking more events like this."

However, one less pleased visitor wrote: "Music was excellent. The conductor spoke way too much. Photo person was slow and didn't know what she was doing. The photo experience was terrible and not worth the money. I wanted a refund, but no one could help." Another said: "Fantastic musicians! Below average experience. I will be brief: Fake plastic candles! Terrible premium seats - do not book these, they are buy far the worst in the venue (Oxford)."
