Davina McCall has shared what she describes as her 'most embarrassing moment ever' after a fan mistook her for fellow presenter Claudia Winkleman. The incident occurred outside a hotel while the TV star was chatting with a doorman and acquaintances.
Speaking on her podcast 'Making the Cut', which she co-hosts with husband Michael Douglas, McCall recalled two teenage girls approaching her. One began freaking out and asked her friend to take a picture. McCall played along, but the friend leaned over and said, 'She doesn't know who you are.'
McCall continued smiling for the photo, but the fan whispered, 'My mum loves Traitors' – a show hosted by Claudia Winkleman. The group laughed at the mix-up before McCall gently clarified she was not Winkleman. She added that three days later she was called Carol, saying, 'I'm just going with it.'
The 58-year-old presenter, known for shows like Big Brother and The Masked Singer, described the encounter as a humbling reality check. The news comes after McCall recently received the all-clear from breast cancer, having undergone a lumpectomy last October.
