On The Waterfront has confirmed its second headline act for 2027, with Cream Classical set to perform at Liverpool's Pier Head on Saturday, June 19. The concert series runs from Thursday, June 17 to Sunday, June 20, offering four nights of live music.
Headline acts announced
Liverpool's Jamie Webster was confirmed as the first headliner on October 26, with support from The Cheap Thrills. He will headline on Friday, June 18. Cream Classical, announced on October 27, will take over the event on Saturday, June 19, promising a night of dance music nostalgia.
Cream Classical brings together dance music and live orchestral performance, reimagining some of dance music's biggest anthems through orchestral arrangements and live vocals. Curated by K-Klass and performed by Kaleidoscope Orchestra alongside Sense of Sound singers, the show celebrates the music and legacy of Liverpool's Cream nightclub.
A decade of Cream Classical
After its landmark 10th anniversary celebrations this year, Cream Classical continues to unite generations of dance music fans, transforming iconic club anthems into an orchestral spectacle.
K-Klass's Paul Roberts spoke about the "enormous task" of curating the event. He said: "I lived in the city for years and I miss the place daily now. Every time I go back I miss it. But we know the Liverpool crowd, we know what they want and we know that all the girls love a good sing-along in Liverpool as well."
Roberts added: "Especially in the first part of the set that's catered for. But Liverpool's a musical city. It's a city with music written right through it, and to get the chance to perform these tracks that people know and love in this way, it's a blessing."
