The Chase's Darragh Ennis Reveals Co-Star Friendship Dynamics

Darragh Ennis, known as The Menace on ITV's The Chase, has addressed what he calls a 'weird idea' that the show's Chasers are close friends off-screen. Speaking on the Dempsey's Dozen podcast, the 2020 addition to the line-up explained that while they get on well, their interactions are mostly limited to work.

'We see each other in work a bit, but we were going three shows a day, so you just see the handover,' Ennis said. He noted that they do occasionally socialise, such as attending award shows together and spending time on the spin-off Beat the Chasers. A backstage ritual involves sitting in Paul Sinha's dressing room answering quiz questions.

Ennis, also an entomologist and beekeeper, shared a tip on TikTok for dealing with fungus gnats in houseplants. He recommended using nematodes, microscopic worms that target larvae in the soil, as an effective solution.
