Charlie Simpson Revealed As Masked President Frontman

Charlie Simpson, the Busted singer, has been unmasked as the Rhino on The Masked Singer, winning the fourth series of the ITV1 show. The grand final aired on Saturday, February 18, with Rhino, Fawn, and Phoenix competing for the title.

Host Joel Dommett asked Simpson to remove the Rhino mask at the end of the episode, revealing the identity that judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan had speculated about since the series began on New Year's Day.

Reflecting on his victory, Simpson said: 'It was amazing to make it into the final. The whole thing seems like a bit of a blur looking back.' He named Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody' as his favourite performance, adding: 'It is a song that I feel very comfortable performing and know very well.'

Runner-up Phoenix was unmasked as Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, while All Saints singer Natalie Appleton took third place as Fawn. Over six weeks, Simpson impressed with renditions of Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars' and Pink's 'Try'.

Clues throughout the series pointed to Simpson, including a VT referencing 'Cobalt' and a population of 158,967, as well as three arrows suggesting the number three. The Rhino character also mentioned being 'chief of this town' and having to 'cut the strings' as a sheriff.
