She described the creative process as 'our version of analogue' and emphasised the importance of avoiding a 'macho' feel. The album is inspired by her love of art and the fear of losing it.
The singer also revealed that she does not want to write about her husband, The 1975 drummer George Daniel, on the new album, having referenced him on several tracks from her previous album 'Brat'. She said: 'I don't really want to write songs about my husband forever.'
'Rock Music' arrives after Charli's 'Brat' album sparked a cultural phenomenon known as 'Brat summer', which influenced fashion trends. The artist has achieved three UK number one albums and two number one singles, including hits like 'Boom Clap' and 'I Love It'.
