Charli XCX has cancelled the penultimate show of her US tour, revealing she has been fighting illness throughout the run and has now completely lost her voice. The singer told fans on Instagram that it "breaks" her not to complete the tour, but she had given it "absolutely everything" both physically and emotionally.
Tour Cancellation Announced
The 34-year-old announced she would not perform at the Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona as planned. In a post to her followers, she wrote: "Arizona angels, I am so so sorry to say we have to cancel tomorrow's Music, Fashion, Film show. I have been fighting sickness throughout this run of the show and have now completely lost my voice. I put absolutely everything I have into my performances, both physically and emotionally, and it breaks me that I can't be with you tomorrow."
Charli added that no alternative date could be arranged. "My team worked hard to find a new date," she explained, "But ultimately we were unable to. I'm so disappointed, but promise to return to AZ in the future. Refunds will be issued automatically for all those who purchased via Ticketmaster. For all others, refunds can be obtained at the point of purchase."
Resting Ahead of Final Show
The singer apologised to fans who had planned to attend, acknowledging the effort many had made to be there. She said she is now resting ahead of the final show in Las Vegas on Friday, adding: "I want to be back onstage and finish this tour together with you. Love you all x. Charli."
Charli's tour began in mid-September in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with later stops in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City, Boston, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. The final US show is expected to be at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on 23 October. The full tour is scheduled to end in Paris on 24 February 2027, with further dates in Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester and London.
New Collaboration Announced
The cancellation came a day after Charli announced a new career venture with the alcohol brand Absolut. She described the collaboration as "a little chaotic" and said she was immediately on board when approached. Her dancers wore custom T-shirts reading "i love Absolut" during her Los Angeles shows over the weekend.
Charli said of the partnership: "When Absolut approached me for a collaboration, I was immediately down because they told me they wanted to do something a little chaotic, which obviously I love, so yeah, moments with music, martinis, friends and strangers, that's like so my vibe, babes."
