Celtic chiefs have said they are "delighted" to host Oasis after the iconic 90s rockers announced that their 2027 world tour is due to kick off at Parkhead.
Five nights at Paradise
On Monday, September 14, the Gallagher brothers confirmed they would be heading out on a new tour that will kick off in Glasgow next year. Oasis will play Celtic Park on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th and 29th of May 2027 before heading to Manchester, Slane, Knebworth, wider Europe and the US.
Following the announcement, Parkhead bosses noted they were "thrilled" to welcome Oasis to Paradise. A statement on the club website read: "Celtic Football Club is delighted to confirm that Celtic Park has been chosen to host the opening five nights of Oasis’ Live ‘27 world tour.
"As announced by the band earlier today, Paradise will be the first stop on the tour, kicking off on Friday, May 21, 2027, followed by shows on May 23, 25, 28 and 29.
Historic return to Glasgow's East End
"Last year saw Oasis reform after 16 years apart, with the band going on to sell shows across the globe, performing to more than two million fans over the course of their Live ‘25 tour, which included three dates in Scotland.
"It has been more than 30 years since Celtic Park last hosted a major concert, and following their emotional and hotly-anticipated reunion last year, the news that Liam and Noel will be performing live in Glasgow’s East End next May is thrilling for music fans.
"These shows also present an opportunity to showcase Celtic Park in a totally different way, and we are sure that the iconic atmosphere our stadium is famous for worldwide will contribute to making these dates some of the most in-demand that Scotland has ever seen.
"Everyone at the Club is thrilled at the prospect of hosting Oasis next year at the start of what is set to be another history-making tour."
Ticket details and clues
Tickets will only be available through a special link that fans must sign up for by September 17, 4pm BST. There will be no general online sale and fans on the band's mailing list will still be required to sign up. Those who are successful will be chosen at random and will receive a unique code.
Celtic noted that their ticket office cannot assist with General Admission ticket applications, sales, or queries and have asked supporters not to contact them directly regarding general concert tickets.
Ticketmaster has shared that fans should expect to pay upwards of £71.50 for standard tickets and from £200 to nearly £600 for VIP packages.
A series of clues that the band were set to play shows at Celtic Park appeared in a video earlier this month. In the clip, many different numbers were spotted on posters and stickers and when combined these figures reveal the coordinates of Celtic Park.
Other Scottish clues included Irn Bru cans and Mars bars near a sign which read: "We batter anything".
Last August, Oasis played three nights at Murrayfield Stadium in the Capital on their huge Oasis Live 25' tour. This was the first time that the Gallagher brothers played on stage together for 16 years.
