Cardi B and Nicki Minaj Feud Turns Physical at New York Party

A long-simmering feud between rappers Cardi B and Nicki Minaj escalated into a physical altercation at a New York Fashion Week party on Friday evening. The incident occurred at the Harper's Bazaar ICONS party, where Christina Aguilera was performing.

According to celebrity website TMZ, the scuffle began when Cardi B approached Minaj over alleged lies Minaj was spreading. Cardi B was reportedly elbowed in the face by a security guard before throwing a red-heeled shoe at Minaj, who appeared unharmed. Cardi was escorted out barefoot with a bump above her eye.

Social media video shows Cardi, wearing a red Dolce & Gabbana gown, lunging forward as reality TV star Rah Ali, a friend of Minaj, stepped between the two rappers. Both stars took to social media after the clash. Minaj, who recently released her fourth album Queen, shared pictures of herself in a leopard print ball gown.

Cardi B addressed the incident in a statement on Instagram, saying she had let many things slide. Without naming Minaj, she accused her of spreading lies, attempting to stop her business deals, and threatening other artists who worked with Cardi. Cardi specifically referenced comments about her ability to care for her daughter, Kulture, born in July, as the final straw.

The 25-year-old rapper, who achieved huge success with hits like Bodak Yellow and I Like It, ended her note by stating she had worked too hard to let anyone mess with her success. The feud had been simmering for months, with subtle digs in lyrics and public comments, though both had previously denied a rift.
