Dog parents in Glasgow can enjoy a pooch-friendly brunch with a canine afternoon tea when Paws & Brunch returns for a third time on Saturday, July 18. The event, hosted at El Santo on Miller Street, runs from 12pm to 3pm and is a collaboration with Sir Woofchester, a canine hospitality specialist.
What's on Offer for Dogs and Owners
Each dog attending will receive a canine afternoon tea including an iced pupcake, bark bangers, a Paw Star Martini and a Woof Bar. El Santo provides blankets, water bowls, toys and a comfortable environment for dogs to relax, allowing owners to unwind as well.
For owners, the £30 per person ticket includes three dishes from El Santo's Latin-inspired tapas menu, a glass of Prosecco on arrival (or a soft drink alternative), and a professional photographer to capture the day as a lasting memento.
Created by a Dog Lover and Events Coordinator
El Santo Events Coordinator Vira Romashova, a dog lover with nine years of professional dog care experience, came up with the concept. She said: “We are really starting to build a following for this concept, with some customers coming back for a third time, as they have met and bonded with other dog lovers at the previous two brunches.”
Romashova explained the inspiration: “I came up with this concept because I know from personal experience that sometimes dog owners, and their dogs, find it difficult to fully relax when they are out socially. Sometimes it’s the dog that doesn’t settle in the environment, stressing out the owner.”
Event Designed Around Dogs
“It struck me that when I joined El Santo, I could create an event that was designed specifically for both people and dogs together. Rather than simply allowing dogs, Paws & Brunch is built entirely around them. We allocate a dedicated space in the restaurant to them. It really helps the dogs settle, and they have room to play with their favourite toys,” Romashova added.
The event is open to non-dog owners and children, making it a real family affair. Tickets are available online at £30 per person.
