Anne Hathaway Denies Facelift Rumours, Credits Hairstyling Trick

Anne Hathaway has addressed speculation that she has undergone a facelift, describing the rumours as 'distracting'. The 43-year-old actress, whose youthful appearance has sparked widespread discussion, clarified that her tightened visage is the result of a clever hairstyling technique rather than cosmetic surgery.

In an interview with Elle published on 21 May, Hathaway explained that she felt compelled to speak out after the speculation became overwhelming. 'My preference would be to never comment on anything and to just live in the mystery... but the speculation has gotten so loud that you do feel the need to just get your truth out there,' she said.

The technique involves her hairstylist, Orlando Pita, creating two hidden braids at the temples, which are secured at the back of the head to create an instant facelift effect. Hathaway shared the trick in an Instagram video in March, but it did not quell the rumours. 'It's just two braids,' she emphasised, adding that she might consider a facelift in the future.

Hair expert Danielle Louise warned that the technique, if done incorrectly, can cause tension, headaches, breakage, and damage to the hairline. She advised using small sections of hair from the temple area, pulling them gently backwards, and securing them discreetly to achieve a subtle lift without pain.
