Bethesda's classic shooter Wolfenstein 3D has been added to Xbox Game Pass, making it free to play for subscribers across all major tiers of the service. The 1992 title, widely considered one of the most formative first-person shooters ever made, is now listed as available in Xbox Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC.

Released in 1992, Wolfenstein 3D pre-dates DOOM and revolutionised the first-person perspective, putting a gun in players' hands and letting them take on enemies in a way that was groundbreaking at the time.
