Sterling Point: Fans Call It Best Teen Drama in Years

Amazon Prime's new eight-part drama Sterling Point has just dropped, and it's already being hailed as one of the best teen dramas in years. Fans are so hooked that some have even ditched work to binge the entire series.

Created by Megan Park, known for the film My Old Ass, the show follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson, played by breakout star Ella Rubin. After discovering she's inherited a remote island in Canada from an estranged grandfather she never met, Annie decides to investigate, uncovering buried secrets, unexpected sisterhood, and a complicated family history.

Fans and Critics Rave

Despite the episodes only landing on Wednesday, many viewers have already finished the season and are clamoring for more. On X, one fan wrote, 'Ok officially done with sterling point and wow i loved it i need season 2 now it was so hilarious.' Another joked, 'I totally wrecked my work schedule for this and I regret nothing.'

Critics have also been impressed. David Opie declared, 'Not exaggerating when I say Sterling Point is the best teen drama I've seen in years,' adding it was 'funny, sexy, swoony' and 'so addictive.' The Guardian gave it a four-star review, noting, 'If escapism is the brief, then Sterling Point fulfils it expertly.'

A Short Season, But Big Impact

Some fans have expressed disappointment that the season is only eight episodes long, wishing it had the traditional 22-episode length. However, the buzz suggests a second season may come sooner rather than later.

Sterling Point is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video now.
