Megan Prescott, known for playing Katie Fitch in the E4 teen drama Skins, has revealed that she now earns more money from her OnlyFans account than she did from the hit television show.
From Skins to OnlyFans
Prescott rose to fame in 2009 when she was cast in Skins, appearing alongside Kaya Scodelario, Jack O'Connell, and her identical twin sister Kathryn Prescott in the third and fourth seasons. The 35-year-old later appeared in episodes of Silent Witness, Doctors, and EastEnders, but turned to OnlyFans in 2020 after struggling financially during the pandemic.
Speaking to The Sun, Prescott said: "I'd spent so many years in acting, trying to get things moving and nothing [was] happening." Left with just £300 in her bank account and missing out on furlough while working at a distillery on a zero-hours contract, she began uploading adult content to the site after friends encouraged her to do so.
Funding Creative Projects
Prescott explained that the money generated from her OnlyFans account has helped finance her other acting projects, including writing and starring in her own play, Really Good Exposure, something she believes she "never" would have been able to do. She charges £11 per month for nude content and personalised videos, and has revealed that she now earns three times her Skins salary.
"Going on OnlyFans and realising all this content that I was making for free, people would pay for and people would like to pay for, just changed my entire point of view and it really did improve my creative outputs," she said.
Future of Acting
Prescott said she believes more mainstream actors will turn to sites like OnlyFans to help generate money for their own projects. She added that other actors could be jealous of the "freedom that I do have", noting that in "mainstream acting, you aren't anywhere near as free to make your own decisions."
Earlier this year, it was announced that Prescott would be part of a new series directed by Adam McKay called Headline Newds, which features adult content creators explaining the climate crisis.
Prescott's admission comes days after Harry Potter star Jessie Cave revealed she too has turned to the platform to help finance her lifestyle. Cave, a mother of four, started posting non-sexual videos of herself brushing her long hair on the platform in 2025, and said she has since made more money than she ever did throughout her "entire acting career."
