Rod Stewart, 81, has postponed another concert just hours before he was due to perform, this time citing a mechanical fault with the aircraft's landing gear that prevented him from traveling to Niagara Falls.
Fourth cancellation this tour
The singer broke the news on Instagram, apologizing to fans for the inconvenience. The show at Fallsview Casino Resort has been rescheduled for March 4, 2027, and purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.
This marks the fourth cancellation on his current tour, following a June show in Chula Vista, California, that was called off due to an acute upper respiratory infection and laryngitis, and two Las Vegas shows in May that were scrapped while he recovered from a sinus infection.
Final large-scale tour
The Niagara Falls gig was part of Stewart's final large-scale global arena tour, as he has expressed a desire to perform at smaller venues in the future. When the tour was announced in 2024, he said: "This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire."
