Rock band Queens Of The Stone Age have launched a complaints hotline, promising that fans' grievances will be "reviewed personally". The service, announced on Thursday, gives callers the chance to be connected to a band member.
How the hotline works
The hotline is available 24/7 for callers to leave a message. An answering machine asks whether they wish to make a complaint or proceed without one. Those who wish to complain are encouraged to leave a message, while those who do not are told they are "having a good day" before the line disconnects.
The hotline provides a platform for "fans, friends and foes" to air their thoughts, with "a chance that some callers may even find a live ear at the end of the line".
Band's announcement
A poster on their Instagram page said: "Call the Queens Of The Stone Age complaint hotline and get heard! You know better, now's your chance! No bitching too big, no whiny too tiny. All complaints are reviewed personally: +1 (760) 437-1966."
The group has also encouraged fans to track the status of complaints via their social media pages.
Band background
Queens Of The Stone Age formed in 1996 by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme, who leads the line-up with Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore. They are known for hits like No One Knows, Go With The Flow, and Little Sister, with eight Grammy nominations and a UK number one album.
The band is currently touring North America with Foo Fighters, with upcoming dates in Japan, Singapore, Australia, and Iceland, marking their first gig there in 20 years.
