PS5 Players: Get GTA VI for £49 Before Deal Ends

PlayStation 5 players have one day left to secure a pre-order of Grand Theft Auto VI for £49.16 instead of the £69.99 price tag, thanks to a cashback offer from TopCashback. The deal, which applies to physical pre-orders from GAME, expires on Sunday, August 17, and is available only to new TopCashback members.

How the £49.16 Deal Works

GAME is currently listing a physical pre-order edition of GTA VI at £69.99, which includes a box and a download code for the PS Store. TopCashback is offering new customers an enhanced 10% cashback at GAME, plus its usual £15 sign-up bonus, bringing the effective cost down to £49.16. Existing TopCashback customers would pay £64.16 after cashback.

Shoppers must pay the initial £69.99 upfront, with the cashback returned to their TopCashback account, which can then be transferred to a bank or PayPal account. Cashback is not paid instantly and can take up to seven days to land. Customers should also note GAME's £4.99 standard delivery charge.

What to Expect from GTA VI

Relatively little is officially confirmed about GTA VI, but it has been revealed as the first mainline 3D Grand Theft Auto instalment to feature a female protagonist, Lucia, alongside her partner, Jason. Rockstar has teased that the game begins with the duo experiencing a job gone wrong. The game is set in Vice City, a fan favourite from the series, and launches in November.

Rockstar has confirmed that physical pre-orders will include download codes rather than the full game on disc, meaning players will need an internet connection to download the title. Physical pre-orders are also available from other retailers, including Amazon at £67.95 and Very at £69.99.

Alternatives While Waiting

For those who find the wait too long, Saints Row Day One Edition on PS5 is available on Amazon for £12.90, offering a similar blend of criminal drama and action. Alternatively, GTA V is currently reduced on Amazon or PS5 from £23.25 to £22.49, providing a large open world with missions and a story full of twists.

Rockstar describes Jason and Lucia as they "find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."
