The upcoming announcement will replace the current lineup, which includes PS5 games like Madden NFL 26, Persona 5 Tactica and Shadowrun Returns. These titles will leave the service in the coming days as the new monthly slate is prepared.
Predictions for September's lineup
While predicting Sony's choices is tricky, some patterns emerge. Despite Madden NFL 26 leaving, it's unlikely to be replaced by the recently released Madden NFL 27. Big-name EA Sports titles typically arrive on subscription services closer to the end of the season, with the Madden NFL series often appearing around the Super Bowl in February.
Instead, fans speculate that Spider-Man 2 could be added, following the success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in cinemas. The timing might align with the launch of Marvel's Wolverine in September. Other predictions include Stellar Blade, a PS5 exclusive action adventure set on a post-apocalyptic Earth, and Dispatch, an episodic superhero comedy that became a breakout hit last year.
