Overwatch players have been notified that the Competitive Drive is ending soon, but the in-game timer only shows '1 Day' without specifics. The Competitive Drive for Season 3 will conclude at 7pm BST on August 11, 2026, aligning with the transition to Season 4.
For those in other time zones, that translates to 11am PDT, 2pm EDT, 3pm BRT, 8pm CEST on August 11, and 3am JST, 4am AEST on August 12.
What is a Competitive Drive?
Competitive Drives occur a few days before a season ends, offering players a chance to earn extra rewards. While playing Competitive matches during this period doesn't significantly boost your rank, it does earn more Competitive Points for cosmetic items.
Playing and winning matches accumulates points toward a score limit, unlocking a special player banner for the next season. Additional effects are added to the banner with more matches played, appealing to those who care about their profile appearance.
Is it Worth Playing?
The Drive is primarily an engagement tactic by Blizzard to maintain player activity at season's end. For those focused purely on Competitive Rank, there's no real advantage to playing during the Drive versus any other time.
