Game of Thrones, which aired from 2011 to 2019, is often considered one of the greatest TV shows, but some viewers were disappointed by its finale. This has led to Dark being touted as a superior alternative. In a Reddit post asking which series to watch first, several commenters advised starting with Dark.
One person wrote: "Dark will give you better satisfaction when you finish the whole series." Another added: "Dark first for sure! It's the best show I've seen in the last decade, and I watch a lot of TV. Please seek out the original German version with subtitles, not the English dub."
Complex plot requires full attention
Dark aired for three seasons between 2017 and 2020. It follows four families in the fictional town of Winden as they investigate a child's disappearance, uncovering a time travel conspiracy spanning generations.
