Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 can now be pre-ordered for £46.42 instead of the usual £62.99, thanks to a TopCashback offer that also grants early access to the game's Open Beta this weekend.
The game is scheduled to launch on October 23, but Activision has started an exclusive Open Beta where players can explore 'the incredible innovations' coming to the new multiplayer mode. By pre-ordering, players secure early access to the Beta between August 21-25 before it opens to everyone from August 28 to September 1.
How the deal works
A standard pre-order of the PS5 and Xbox version costs £62.99 at Argos, but shopping through TopCashback brings it down to £46.42. New members of the deals site receive a £15 welcome bonus alongside cashback at Argos, making the effective cost £46.42 and saving £16.57 off the standard price.
Only new TopCashback members and new Argos customers can access this offer. New TopCashback members who are already Argos shoppers will pay a slightly higher £47.73 after cashback. After ordering, the code for early access to the Open Beta is supplied by the retailer via email on an online receipt, according to Activision.
Game details and other retailers
A code is also included when purchasing from other retailers such as Amazon, where a pre-order costs £62.99 (was £69.99). Modern Warfare 4 is set during a conflict on the Korean Peninsula, with its campaign placing players in trench warfare in Korea, as well as missions across New York, Paris, and Mumbai to reclaim occupied territory, reports the Daily Star.
The game is said to take the series into darker and more perilous territory and features the return of Call of Duty stalwart Captain Price. The franchise's multiplayer is expected to offer grounded, precise combat where fluid movement, player choice and greater control define every engagement.
Console upgrade options and reviews
With several months before the official launch, gamers still have time to upgrade to a next-generation console such as the PS5 Pro. This version of Sony's flagship console currently costs £789 at retailers including Very, while rival Raylo provides it from £18.95 on a 36-month subscription. That equates to approximately 61p per day over a 31-day month with no initial payment, while the Xbox Series X costs £19.99 on the identical contract.
Modern Warfare 4 reviews are still some time away, but TopCashback has more than 164,000 positive ratings on Trustpilot, where it holds a 4.6-star rating. "Everything is so simple and straightforward," says one five-star review. "Amazing way to save money." Another says: "Highly recommend. Cashback appears pretty much next day. Payouts are easy to use, definitely worth having." Some users reported a less seamless experience, with one four-star review saying: "Had to chase up on several occasions but after six months I have received the cashback." While another satisfied TopCashback member said: "Clear, precise website. Easy navigation, easy to use."
