Nintendo is bringing back the Switch 2 bundle that includes a digital copy of Mario Kart World, but it will cost more than before due to the console's upcoming price increase. The bundle returns in September, following the Switch 2's price rise on September 1.
When the Switch 2 launched last year, the bundle was available for £429.99, effectively saving £40 on the game. Nintendo originally said the offer would last only through autumn 2025, though it appeared to remain available past Christmas and possibly into the new year. It is currently out of stock on Nintendo's website and at other retailers.
New bundle includes Switch Online subscription
Nintendo has not shared UK pricing for the returning bundle, but it will cost $549.99 in the US, which is $50 more than the original price. The increase reflects the Switch 2's new price tag of $499.99 (£429.99 in the UK) and the addition of a three-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription, which normally costs $7.99 (£6.99 in the UK).
The original bundle only included the console and the game, whereas this new version adds the subscription. Altogether, the bundle represents a saving of roughly $38, or about £28 in the UK. Buying the items separately would cost £503.97, so the bundle's UK price is estimated at around £475.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle also planned
Nintendo is also planning a bundle for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, ahead of the game's release on October 22. It will include a digital copy of the game and a three-month Switch Online subscription, priced at $529.99 in the US—$20 cheaper than the Mario Kart bundle, reflecting the game's lower price. In the UK, the game costs £41.99 digitally, so the bundle may be around £15 cheaper, at roughly £463.
Nintendo currently offers customisable bundles on its online store, where customers can choose one game from a curated selection of first-party titles, alongside a Switch Online subscription and a free accessory. However, none of the items are discounted in those bundles, so customers pay full price.
