Lego has unveiled a new Collector's Edition set for the Harry Potter range: The Ministry of Magic, complete with a realistic London street and tube stop. This 51cm tall set is part of the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Set Details and Features
The set comprises 3,491 Lego pieces and includes 14 minifigures. It can be displayed as a full Ministry of Magic or with the top removed to show a Muggle-visible London street, featuring a red telephone box and an authentic rubbish bin. Notable locations include the courtroom, Arthur Weasley and Dolores Umbridge's offices, the Leaky Cauldron pub, and the Hall of Prophecy.
Working features include flushing a minifigure from a toilet down to the ministry, collapsible shelves in the Hall of Prophecy, and a recreation of the Dumbledore vs. Voldemort fight.
Minifigures and Availability
The 14 minifigures are Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Sirius Black, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Arabella Figg, Nymphadora Tonks, Arthur Weasley, Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody, Albus Dumbledore, Lord Voldemort, Lucius Malfoy, Antonin Dolohov, and Dolores Umbridge. This set marks the first Arabella Figg minifigure in the Lego Harry Potter line, and includes Kingsley Shacklebolt's Lynx Patronus.
The completed set measures 35cm wide and 15cm deep. It costs £389.99 in the UK and will be available from Lego stores and the Lego website starting September 1. Lego Insiders can purchase it from August 29 with free sign-up.
