Rockstar has released what it bills as the launch trailer for GTA 6, suggesting no further official footage will be shared until the game's release. The trailer includes hints of a shower scene between protagonists Jason and Lucia and features a snippet of a new song by electronic music duo Justice, titled Flower In A Hurricane.
Trailer Highlights and Gameplay
The trailer is similar in style to the first two, keeping things brief as it mixes cut scenes and gameplay. As usual, the quality of the graphics and camera work makes it hard to discern where cut scenes end and gameplay begins. There are hints of Jason and Lucia's escalating crime spree, and near the end, a large metallic object, possibly a bank vault, is shown being carried in a helicopter net and swerving to smash into the side of a building.
Shower Scene and Music Details
The trailer also teases a steamy shower scene between Jason and Lucia, which will likely be more explicit in the final game. Rockstar has already confirmed there will be nudity, and recent leaks have shown it can happen during gameplay as well as cut scenes. The full version of Flower In A Hurricane is already available on music services like Spotify and Apple Music. It will be one of several original songs featured in the game, as well as on the official soundtrack, which launches alongside GTA 6 on November 19 and includes new singles by Travis Scott and Keith Richards.
Game Awards Eligibility and Pre-Order Info
It has recently been discovered that GTA 6 will be eligible for voting at this year's The Game Awards, despite theories to the contrary. The Game Awards' website notes that any games commercially available by November 20 are eligible. GTA 6 launches November 19, so it just barely makes it in.
Both the standard and Ultimate editions of the game are available via the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store. The standard version costs £69.99, and the Ultimate edition is £89.99. GTA 6 will not see a physical release on a disc, though a physical box can be purchased from Rockstar's website, but it only includes a download code. There is also a separate collector's edition that contains exclusive merchandise, but it costs £350 and doesn't include the game itself. A PC version is apparently aiming to launch in early 2027, but neither Rockstar nor publisher Take-Two Interactive have formally announced such a version.
